Description

Glenglassaugh 12 Years Old is a harmonious balance of the distillery's signature coastal style; lush, tropical, and coastal. Matured in bourbon, sherry, and red wine casks for luscious waves of ripe fruit carried on an ocean breeze. This 12-year-old single malt is the first flagship age statement launched since the distillery's reawakening in 2008 and was released in 2023.

Nose
Sweet coastal waves of ripe apricot and fig meld with toasted vanilla and tropical flora, carried on a warm ocean breeze. Juicy peaches and other nectarous fruit drizzled in honey, cashew nuts and danishes, a kiss of vanilla and honeysuckle. A slight saline note.
Palate
Candied pistachio, date and sweet fig roll into waves of morello cherry and whipped cream, infused with fresh coastal air. Heathery, earthy, and slightly wine-y. Toasty notes of vanilla, and creamy hazelnut meringues.
Finish
Softly salted cherry chocolate, and a lingering nuttiness with candied pistachio, and a delicious reminder of Daim bars. Ashy (smoky) note with some tobacco bite. Long and elegant—sweet, lightly salty, with a refined maritime echo.
