Description
Sitting on the Highland/Lowland border, Glengoyne distills its whisky in the Highlands and matures it in the Lowlands. Founded in 1833, the distillery is now owned by Ian MacLeod distillers. Glengoyne is known for its slow distillation process and a complete lack of peat, as all malt is dried by hot air. This 17 Year Old expression, part of the core range, was matured in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks, including first-fill and refill sherry oak. It was discontinued in 2012 and replaced by an 18 Year Old.
