Full-bodied with buttery goodness, resinous sherried funk, thick toffee, dates, sultana, red apples, polished wood, ripe barley, star anise, and charred red pepper.
Palate
Dark fruits, blackberry compote, Armagnac-like pruniness, orange marmalade, Christmas cake, creamy nuttiness, and supple tannins. A fiery start with pepper, fresh ginger, plum marmalade, cherry Bakewell, sticky toffee pudding, earthy notes, leather, and espresso coffee.
Finish
Dry, with roasted spices and caramel. Long, slightly dusty, with cocoa powder and nuts. Spices mingle with a typical Oloroso dryness.
