Black cherry, sherry trifle, marmalade, tea rose, rum & raisin chocolate, antique furniture wax, faint sourness, old leather, moist dark cherries, freshly sanded wood, pear drops, milky coffee, Digestive biscuits, toffee, and a whiff of strawberry ice cream.
Palate
A burst of sweetness, plum compote, cinnamon, cloves, tangy marmalade, pipe tobacco, treacle, candied orange, and rich oak spice. It is beautifully and elegantly layered with a tickling honey and sherried sweetness, waxy oiliness, tart woody tannins, and a gentle peppery tickle.
Finish
Long, lingering, indulgent, warming, and thoughtful, with leathery and spicy aromas, oil, sweetness, tannins, pure chocolate, marmalade, and a very faint wisp of cigar-ash.
