Description

Glengoyne 25 Year Old is a Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, introduced in 2014 as part of the distillery's core range. Glengoyne, founded in 1833, is known for its slow distillation process and the use of unpeated malt. This expression is matured exclusively for a quarter of a century in hand-selected sherry casks, resulting in a rich and complex whisky. It is bottled at 48% ABV and is non-chill filtered.

Big notes of sherry-soaked fruit, including raisins, figs, and oranges, with wafts of toasted almonds, old leather, red fruits, and brown sugar. Hints of pipe tobacco, spice drops, blackberry, blueberry preserve, and stewed fruits.
Palate
Vanilla and dark chocolate lead, followed by rich, spiced fruit cake, soft oak, cinnamon, stewed fruits, and a Seville marmalade tang. Notes of toasted walnuts, coconut husks, vanilla sponge cake, oatmeal cookies, sweet butter cream, honey, blackberry, luxardo cherry, raisin bread, and savory baking spice.
Finish
Long and lingering with notes of red fruits, cracked black pepper, spicy liquorice, dry tannic oak, cinnamon, black liquorice, pine, butterscotch sweetness, and gentle oak tannins.
