Description
Sitting on the Highland/Lowland border, Glengoyne distills its whisky in the Highlands and matures it in the Lowlands. Founded in 1833, the distillery is now owned by Ian MacLeod distillers, which champions its slow distillation process and a complete lack of peat as well as a rigorous approach to its sherry cask selection. This Batch No. 6 is the first in the Cask Strength series to be 100% matured in sherry oak casks, specifically a combination of first-fill European oak sherry casks, American oak sherry butts, and refill sherry butts. It is bottled un-chillfiltered at its natural strength of 59.8%.
