Sitting on the Highland/Lowland border, Glengoyne distills its whisky in the Highlands and matures it in the Lowlands. Light, slightly oily mouth-feel, pepper and spice, burnt-orange and citrus notes, malty, sherried and oaky, oranges, creamy vanilla, Brazil nuts and raisins, treacle, apple compote, rich barley water, grilled brazil nut, walnut husk, toasted sweet Pumpernickel bread.
Finish
Medium, pepper and smoke, nuts, leather, drying oak, subtle oak, sweet fruits, dryness, long and rich, spicy oak, red berry fruit, slightly waxy, walnut husk, cream of soda vanilla, bitter cocoa, delicate cinnamon and clove spice, blackcurrant liquorice, hint of chocolate, fresh stonefruit.
