Description
The Glenlee is a 74m long sailing cargo ship built on the banks of the River Clyde at Glasgow in 1896. She sailed the world's oceans for over two decades before being acquired by the Spanish Navy in 1922. Found abandoned in Seville in 1990, she was purchased for £1 by the Clyde Maritime Trust who brought her back to Scotland to be restored and saved for the nation. Today, back in Glasgow on the River Clyde, the Glenlee sits proudly as a museum ship. This distinguished Scotch whisky is made to honour the Glenlee - a ship that has truly stood the test of time. A blend of the finest malt and grain whiskies, matured for over twelve years in quality oak casks - a delicious dram deserving of such a fine vessel.
