Description

This wholly unique 12 year old single malt harks from an undisclosed family-owned Speyside distillery, inviting any whisky lover to taste the spirit for themselves. Distilled in 2012, aged for 12 years in a first-fill bourbon barrel followed by a finish in a first-fill sherry hogshead, and bottled in 2025 at 50% ABV. It is sweet, richly fruity and perilously easy to swig.

Nose
decadent, nutty, and doughy with candied fruits and a backbone of silky vanilla; bakery goods galore: cinnamon rolls, cronuts, cardamom buns, and Mexican donuts; cranachan: aka fresh raspberries and whipped cream over toasted oats; a touch of leather and tobacco, but on the fresh side.
Palate
still decadent, nutty, and doughy, with a silky base of vanilla and honey; the fresh baked sticky goods still abound, and the cranachan is still there too; sweet chocolate fudge, homemade Eatmore, and chocolate dip on soft serve; candied orange, fresh raspberries, and sautéed strawberry; late leather, tobacco, and building spice.
Finish
long, warming, and rich; it ends quite chocolatey with baked sticky buns and soft cigar tobacco.
