Nose
Complex and mellow, with notes of almond oil, scented hand-soap, sandalwood, gorse flowers, peach cobbler, brown sugar, apricots, raisin bread, dates, and a subtle hint of oak. A whiff of peat-smoke in the empty glass.
Palate
Oily texture, lightly sweet to start with dates, salted plums, figs, and a major rancio influence. Floral notes of violet and chrysanthemum bud, herbal and menthol side with pine needles, backed by leather, sandalwood, sour cherry, kola, and tobacco leaf. A nice bite of ginger, white pepper, allspice, red apples, peaches, honey, and orange oil.
Finish
Lengthy and elegant, with menthol, candied orange peels, citrus zest, faint peat smoke, ginger, Christmas spice, mulled wine, and gentle hints of spices and dying fireplace embers.
