Nose
Enticing aromas of baked red apple, creamy toffee, cinnamon, delicate floral notes, violet, tropical fruits like pineapple, and citrus. Some also detect strawberry, cumquat, marmalade, licorice, banana, hay, honey, charcuterie, vanilla, herbal notes (watercress), and a malty-grassy earthiness with a hint of smoke.
Palate
Delivers fruity notes of pears and juicy pineapple, blending with spicy notes of sweet ginger and licorice root. Subtle fresh mint leaves add a refreshing dimension. Other impressions include cherries, marzipan, spices, marshmallow, butter, caramel, vanilla, and a tingly, sweet, and bourbon-like character with vegetal flavors and white pepper spice. It's noted to be full-bodied and can be harsh due to the high ABV, but also surprisingly sweet.
Finish
Long, fruity, and refreshingly vibrant, leaving impressions of crème brûlée, sultana, cinnamon, tropical fruit, fruit, spices, sweet marshmallow, pepper, ginger, wasabi, and licorice. Some detect a smoky element (not peaty) and a blend of cherry and a smoky, almost cigarette ash note.
