Description
Murray McDavid was formed in 1996 by Mark Reynier, Simon Coughlin and Gordon Wright and was named after Reynier's grandparents Harriet Murray and Jock McDavid. It quickly became known for its irreverent tasting notes, edgy Gaelic slogan - 'Clachan a Choin' - and later for its ACEing process of finishing whisky in wine casks. They are based at Speyside's Coleburn distillery. This Glenlivet 1977 30 Year Old was part of the Mission Cask Strength Series and was bottled in 2007 at cask strength (51.8% abv) in an edition of 650 bottles.
