Description

Decadent Drinks are a very well-known Independent Bottler in the whisky world. They have collaborated with Whisky Sponge in order to provide their fans with some spectacular bottlings. This 2007 14 year old Glenlivet was matured full term in a 1st fill sherry hogshead and bottled at 53% ABV. The label artwork celebrates the hours the Whisky Sponge spends tirelessly toiling away in the ancient data mines of the Whiskynet.

Nose
Refreshing aroma. Stewed fruits, apple sauce, poached pears, hints of pepper and cinnamon, a touch of spirited prickle between cinnamon red hots and green apple hard candies, hints of cola and birch with time.
Palate
Medium-bodied, balanced, orchard fruits, stewed fruit, cinnamon and spice, honey, lacquered wood, hints of cola and ginger. Explosion of flavors.
Finish
Medium-length and slightly drying with stewed fruits and subtle leather. Rich and smooth. Chocolate and burnt caramel are the main notes with some Christmas spices.
