Description

Signatory was founded by Andrew Symington in 1999. After discovering single cask single malt whisky while managing Prestonfield House Hotel, Andrew bought his first cask, a Glenlivet 1968, and is now one of the largest independent bottlers in Scotland. As of 2002, Signatory Vintage Whisky company is also the owner of the Edradour distillery. This Glenlochy was distilled in September 1980 and bottled in May 2011 after maturation in a hogshead for 30 years, released as part of Signatory Vintage's Cask Strength Collection. It is a single cask release from cask number 2824.

Beeswax and hints of paraffin, with notes of hot buttered crumpets, some spices, espresso coffee, menthol and oak.
Palate
Rich and slightly smoky. A brazen, muscular dram with notes of curry spices, espresso and more beeswax. Good malty backbone with hints of stewed apples and horseradish.
Finish
Good length with notes of fresh parsley oak, smoke and honey.
