Description

Glenmorangie Astar, meaning 'journey' in Scots Gaelic, was first released in 2008 and later re-released in 2017 as a limited edition. This Highland single malt is matured entirely in bespoke casks crafted from slow-grown oak trees sourced from the Ozark Mountains of Missouri. These unique casks are meticulously prepared, seasoned for two years, toasted, and then filled with bourbon for four years before being used for Glenmorangie's spirit. The whisky is non-chill filtered and bottled at cask strength, showcasing a rich, creamy, and vanilla-driven profile. Glenmorangie, a prominent Highland distillery founded in 1843 and owned by LVMH, is renowned for its tall pot stills and commitment to innovation in whisky creation.
