Description
A Highland malt distillery located near Tain along the Dornoch Firth. It was founded in 1843 and is today owned along with Ardbeg by the French multination, LVMH. The distillery's primary focus is its single malt brand, renowned for being produced using Scotland's tallest pot stills. This unique 17 year old Highland single malt was distilled in 1987 and bottled in 2004 to commemorate the sale of The Glenmorangie Company Ltd (Glenmorangie plc) to Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH). Drawn from a first-fill cask, it was bottled at a natural strength of 56.4% ABV and is one of just 346 bottles worldwide. It is non chill-filtered to retain its natural colour and original character. The bottle is signed by the then-chief-executive of the former company, Paul Neep.
