Nose
A cautiously zesty and salty nose, reminiscent of Brazil nuts embedded in a salty toffee. Then some floral notes, like scented cured ham. A splash of water opens up the aroma, revealing more citrus, like sugared lemon peel, and a hint of ginger, and a lovely coriander of menthol and spice.
Palate
The texture is creamy and dense, with a delicious primary flavour of caramelised orange and lemon, with a hint of brown sugar. But then a wave of salty, briny notes, like salted nuts, and then some more, toasty oak flavours, like walnut and almond. A little bit of ginger and nutmeg, and working with flavours of toffee, and a hint of coffee.
Finish
A long and lingering finish, with a lovely balance of sweet and salty notes, and a hint of ginger and nutmeg.
