Description

This is a 10-year-old Single Malt Whisky from Glenrothes distillery, independently bottled by Wilson & Morgan as part of their Barrel Selection series. It was distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2016, matured in First Fill Sherry Wood from casks 6160-6162, with an outturn of 2544 bottles.

Nose
Sweet spice aromas: nutmeg and cinnamon, followed by rich notes of burnt sugar, treacle amaretti biscuits and fruit cake. Also, a strong malty note, dried mushrooms, slightly sour berries, dried fruits (raisins, dates, figs), white pepper, saffron, cinnamon, and espresso coffee notes.
Palate
Full of sweet fruit flavours, toffee apples, Christmas pudding, Biscoff biscuits, caramelised pecans, buttery croissants and honey. Sweet stewed dried fruit and nut, chocolate, ginger, cinnamon, a touch of old leather and alcohol soaked prunes.
Finish
Medium, long-lasting, very sweet with lingering notes of golden syrup sponge cake and warming wood spices.
