Nose
A profusion of red fruits with sour cherries and raspberries chasing figs, dates and ripe melon, generously dusted with cinnamon and cloves. Candied orange dipped in sandalwood oil and smeared on leather. Aromas become pungent, with the alcohol itching the nostrils. Sweet and rough at the same time. Plum, Christmas pudding, flamed orange peel, and a touch of old oak. Fruit cake and a summer shower on the pavement, sultanas, herbal and a savoury hint of broth.
Palate
Marbled and exuberant, with a spice that is present but not excessive (ginger, cinnamon, cloves), warming the palate like a mulled wine with a delicious persistence of red fruits and orange, impressions of hot chocolate, freshly cut wood, leather. Cinnamon sticks, dried fruit, dark chocolate mousse, a pinch of nutmeg. Full and round, juicy too. With lots of raisins, dried fruits and spicy tobacco. A hint of ginger.
Finish
Long, warm finish of dried fruits, orange, chocolate, wood, spices. Dates, toffee, chocolate once again, red chilli flake. Old moisty wood, with cannabis and garlic to make it funky. Red fruits, apple syrup and peaches for a summertime feeling. It dries off into warming spices.
