The first-fill bourbon barrel is clearly specified; the citrus and oak appeal.

Mint on the nose and menthol in the finish make this especially appealing to my taste. Sweet lemon and orange candy offer a lively counterpoint to the prominent oak.

The citrus and malt appeal to me, but the prominent oak and bitter lemon zest make this sound a little less relaxed than my usual pick. Still, there’s plenty here to like.

Berry notes on the nose meet lemon and orange candy on the palate, giving the fruit character a clear citrus direction. Prominent oak and a finish with bitter lemon zest make this feel more structured than simply sweet.
