Description

A Speyside single malt from Glentauchers distillery, bottled by independent bottler Infrequent Flyers (Alistair Walker Whisky Company). This is Release No. 160, distilled in March 2012 and matured for 12 years, including a finish in a Virgin Oak barrel (cask 806205). Bottled in November 2024 at natural cask strength of 56.3% ABV, it is non-chill filtered and has no added colour, as a limited edition single cask release of 272 bottles.

A concentrated combination of coconut, rum babas, crushed digestive biscuits and foam banana sweets.
Palate
Initially quite spicy, and then comes the sweet intensity of the virgin oak – crisp cannoli shells, buckwheat honey, Demerara sugar and crème brûlée.
Finish
Medium, with lingering notes of fresh oak, sweet malt, and a soft, fruity warmth that gently fades.
