Nose
Gentle yet pungent peat, slightly medicinal, hint of marzipan, dried oak tree bark. Sweet mellow peat amongst sweet distillery character, with light green fruits, green apples, gooseberries, and some gristy malt.
Palate
Deft balance of flavours, peaty, spicy dry almonds, fired oak. Fairly oily, with lighter green fruit tones and malted digestive biscuits with almonds.
Finish
Long, toasty and dries very slowly to offer further complexity. Almost fizzy, slightly spiced and reasonably warming.
