Description

Robert Haig was distilling as early as the 17th century, making them the oldest Scotch whisky distillers in the world. By 1733, the Stirlingshire-based distillery became Scotland's largest and the world's first commercial distillery. Haig Dimple 12 Year Old is a classic blended Scotch whisky, known for its unique dimpled bottle design. It is a blend that includes single malts from Glenkinchie (Lowland) and Linkwood (Speyside) distilleries.

Nose
Toffee and spice with a slight citrus edge, malt and cereal, vanilla, caramel, dried fruit, and a little oak. Sour apple skin and dustiness.
Palate
Smooth and creamy with flavors of caramel, dried fruits, and a hint of spice. Mildly malty and fruity, with a warm, slightly smokey taste. Can turn bitter and sour at the back of the tongue.
Finish
A fairly short finish of burnt fudge or caramel with a hint of oak in the background. Lingering and warm with a touch of smokiness and a subtle sweetness. Some bitter tannin.
