Description
Hammer Head 1989 23 Year Old is a rare Czech single malt whisky distilled at the Pradlo distillery in 1989, just before the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Czechoslovakian Velvet Revolution. It was produced using 100% local Czech barley and matured for 23 years in Czech oak casks. The whisky was rediscovered after being forgotten for many years and was eventually bottled in 2013. It is noted for its historical significance as one of the earliest European single malts outside Scotland and was initially sold for the travel retail market.
