A Japanese malt distillery located in the town of the same name. It developed immense collectable status following its closure 2000 after the famous "Card" series was bottled by Ichiro's Malt. Nose
Warming, flowery and very fruity at first nosing. There are strong winey aromas plus notes of apples, raspberry and elderflower syrup. Some sweet chestnuts in the background.
Palate
Rich, elegant and refined at first mouthfeel. On the one hand sweet and fruity, on the other hand toffee, chestnuts and wood.
Finish
Long, becomes spicy (peppery) with more wood and a little sawdust in the end.
