Description

A Japanese single malt whisky from the Hanyu distillery, distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2007 by Number One Drinks Company. The Hanyu distillery, located in Hanyu City, Saitama Prefecture, was founded in 1941 and closed in 2000, with its equipment dismantled in 2004. The remaining stock, including this single cask, was saved by Ichiro Akuto, grandson of the founder. This particular bottling was aged in a bourbon hogshead and finished in Japanese oak, yielding 374 bottles.
