Nose
Straw and malt aromas with metallic pear-like notes, muted fruitiness, cider apples, lemon drops, orange peel, and a hint of unfreshness. Also light and grassy with stewed banana, grain fields, honey, and some alcohol prickle.
Palate
Big malty sweetness with cereal notes, oranges, vanilla cream, and hints of dry, bitterish herbs and cardboard. Light-bodied, creamy, peppery, with acerbic flavor, banana, honey, lime, custard, and subtle spicy notes from sherry casks, balanced by vanilla from bourbon casks.
Finish
Medium length with spices and caramel. Mouth-watering with vanilla, then abruptly ending. Notes of lime, digestives, custard, honey, milky chocolate, light beef crisps, grassy, toffee, and paprika. Lingering and mellow with sweet salty notes.
