Description

This Hazelburn 15 Year Old was released as part of the Online Tasting Week in May 2021. It is a triple-distilled, unpeated single malt Scotch whisky from the Campbeltown region, produced at the Springbank Distillery. Matured for 15 years in fresh Oloroso Sherry casks and bottled at a cask strength of 54.9% ABV, this limited edition release saw 1,174 bottles produced.

Marzipan, toffee, walnuts, and a bourbon cask sweetness, with hints of tropical fruits and fresh banana. Deeper notes of cherries, salted caramel, and rich treacle are present, alongside musty earth and leather.
Palate
A silky and creamy mouthfeel with milk chocolate, raisins, sultanas, and cherry bakewell. Light wood spice, honey roasted cashews, and a balance of sweetness and richness with notes of red fruits and orange zest.
Finish
Long and lingering, with chocolate, cherry, and raisins, evolving into woodier notes, orange zest, and a touch of white pepper.
