Nose
Strong aromas of rye bread and baking spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, with hints of dried fruits (raisins, dates), subtle vanilla and caramel from the oak barrel. Also noted are grassy, apple, mint, and eucalyptus notes.
Palate
Bold and assertive with a spicy kick of black pepper and cloves, followed by notes of dark chocolate, coffee, and toasted oak. Rich, full-bodied mouthfeel with slight oiliness and warmth. Caramel, vanilla, apple, mango, orange, and herbal qualities are also present.
Finish
Long and lingering, with a dry and slightly bitter aftertaste echoing spicy notes. Herbaceous with mint and eucalyptus, cinnamon spice, rye bread, leather, vanilla bean, and peppercorn heat.
