Description

Hercynian Emperor's Way German Single Malt 2024 is a limited-edition peated single malt from the Hercynian Distilling Company in Germany's Harz Mountains. The expression takes its name from the main route through the Harz Mountains, which was used by kings and even the Kaiser himself in the mediaeval times. This unique bottling combines heavily peated new make spirit with powerful sherry casks. It contains whisky distilled between 2016 and 2021 that matured in three different cask types: Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry hogsheads and octaves. It was bottled in May 2024 at a cask strength of 59.8%. Only 1204 bottles have been released.
