Description

This Highland Park 1977 Bicentenary Repatriation is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 1977 and originally bottled in 1998 to celebrate the distillery's bicentenary. A unique re-release in 2008, these bottles were discovered in a Japanese warehouse after the initial release was thought to be sold out. They were subsequently repacked and re-released, with a limited outturn of 690 bottles.

Sweet, tangy, and rich with heather honey, peat smoke, watermelon, cut grass, seaspray, cinnamon, golden raisin, nutty toffee, and floral polish.
Palate
Medium-bodied with honey, spicy oak notes, burning heather, toffee apples, cinnamon, mint creams, orange peel, dark cherries, and bitter black chocolate. It is creamy and sweet with a hint of smoky peat.
Finish
Long lasting smokiness, good length with rich, tangy spices, violets, lingering spice, flowery scented flavours, subtle oak, and a hint of rich fruit cake.
