Nose
Bright, sweet, oily, with minerality (iodine, salt, river stones), marzipan, croissants with jam, grass, branches, and honey. Slight peat, gentle vegetal-floral notes of heather, anise, and bergamot flowers. Bourbonesque vanilla, licorice, candied cedar, creamy and green banana, yellow fruit, hazelnut, and freshly polished wood.
Palate
Consistent with the nose, mineral and oily (olive oil nuances). Nervous vanilla sweetness, intense honey, creamy banana mousse, and dried fruit (walnut). Growing acrid, peated smokiness, green tea, cocoa beans, and a salty touch. Dense, spicy with pepper, sweet pastry, apple jam, a hint of smoke and smoked meat, vegetable oil, citrus, minerality, oak, and light grassy bitterness.
Finish
Long, persistent, and discreet, featuring peat, growing acrid smokiness, vanilla, and chestnut cream. Even, slightly astringent oak with spices, minerality, honey, and bread.
