Description
The largest and oldest malt whisky distillery in the Orkney archipelago, located in Kirkwall on the main island. Founded in 1798, it is today part of the holdings of the Edrington Group and its whisky is world-renowned for the unique flavour provided to it by local Orcadian peat. Highland Park 25 Year Old is a prestigious single malt from the Orkney Islands, crafted with a quarter-century of aging in a combination of first-fill sherry-seasoned European oak casks, American oak casks, and a selection of refill casks. This maturation process yields a rich harmony of sherry sweetness, gentle peat smoke, and deep complexity. The whisky's island provenance and extended aging make it one of the most celebrated expressions in the Highland Park range. It has received a perfect 100-point score at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge.
