Highland Park Full Volume is a limited edition single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2017. It was matured exclusively in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and hogsheads, a departure from Highland Park's traditional sherry cask maturation. Fresh, malty, juicy with exotic fruits, citrus, vanilla, and subtle earthy/heathery notes. Also notes of lemon, wet wool, coal smoke, mineral peat, honey, and slight peat smoke.
Palate
Sweet with banana, lemon bonbons, cinnamon rolls, creamy vanilla, leather, and tobacco. Other notes include sweet malt, vanilla, tobacco, light salty smoky balance, coconut water, citrus peel pith bitterness, and white pepper tingle.
Finish
Medium finish with smoky, drier, and oaky notes. Lingering light saline smoke, fruity fresh pear, white pepper tingle. Long with smoke, apple wood, barley sweets, honey, citrus, aromatic smoke, and creamy vanilla.
