This is a 25-year-old Highland Park single malt whisky, independently bottled by The Scotch Malt Whisky Society as Cask No. 4.396 "Heather Ember". It is part of "The Creators Collection: Peat Plants" series and was matured in a first-fill ex-bodega Oloroso butt. Heavily old school in profile with gamey, leathery, and salty sherry vibes, natural tar extracts, medicines, and dry, heathery Orkney peat. Balanced peat with hints of heather and sweetness.
Finish
Long and satisfying aftertaste, rich with verbena, aged herbal liqueurs, old-school shilling ales, balanced smoke, and floral undertones.
