Nose
Waffles drizzled with honey, soft peat smoke, and a coastal note. Heather honey, soft smoke with a dry hint of seaweed, waffles. Salty sea breeze, light smoke, dried fruits, sherry notes and a hint of spice. Sea air, lime zest, salt and pepper nuts, leather, madeira cake.
Palate
Gentle sherry, honey roast ham, tangerines, smoked meat, candied apples. Roasted almonds, honeycomb, smoky peppercorns, a hint of liquorice. Full-bodied and powerful with distinct cask character, dried fruit, light spicy heat and a nice maritime minerality.
Finish
Long and glorious with heather and gentle smoke. The floral hints of heather return for the long finish. Long and intense – salty, light smoke, cask, dried fruits and a slightly spicy, elegant echo. Shoft sherry, leather, fresh bread, sweet pepper, heather honey.
