This Highland Park 2006 12 Year Old Single Cask #1640 Velier Edition 2 is a limited edition single malt Scotch whisky, bottled exclusively for the Italian importer Velier. Distilled in 2006 and matured for 12 years, it was bottled in 2018 at a formidable 64.9% ABV. Only 648 bottles were released from a first-fill American Oak Sherry Puncheon. Highland Park Distillery, located on the Orkney Islands, is known for its unique terroir and balancing aromatic peat with the sweetness of malt. This expression promises a complex array of intense sherry notes with the distillery's celebrated gentle, aromatic peat.
