Nose
Extreme complexity, with mineral notes, peat, damp earth, rubber eraser, aromatic herbs and spices (cinnamon, gentian, eucalyptus), cola, coffee, red berries (strawberry, sour cherry), dried figs, honey, caramel, cane sugar, candied orange, and pipe tobacco.
Palate
Mineral notes recede, giving way to smokiness and vegetal suggestions (tea leaves, rhubarb, ginger, eucalyptus). Deep sweetness emerges with orange marmalade, sugared coffee, chocolate, red fruits (blackberries, cherries), and chinotto.
Finish
Intense, long, and persistent. Very smoked (flavoured pipe tobacco), ripe fruits, caramel, and rhubarb. Spiced and herbal notes are integrated with fruity sweetness and traditional HP minerality. Pure ashes in the aftertaste, with brown sugar, dry oak, and light smoke.
