A single malt whisky from Holyrood Distillery, independently bottled by Duncan Taylor as part of their 'The Octave' series. Distilled in 2021 and bottled in 2025, this 3-year-old whisky underwent a secondary maturation in a Sherry Octave cask, a smaller cask designed to increase wood interaction for a more rapid and intense maturation. This particular release is a single cask bottling, cask no. 1141077, and was bottled at a cask strength of 54.2% ABV. It is non-chill filtered and natural in color, and was released exclusively for the German market. Holyrood Distillery, opened in 2019 in Edinburgh, is known for its experimental approach to whisky making, utilizing various malts and yeasts.
