Description

A Scottish blending company, William Whiteley & Co., bottled this 8-year-old blended Scotch whisky. The company rose to prominence during the Prohibition years in the US by helping mafia boss Frank Costello smuggle its blends into the country. Among these were names such as House of Lords and King's Ransom. The company also owned the Edradour distillery. This particular expression is a discontinued blend that was primarily available in export markets until 1996 due to naming protests from the British Parliament.
