Description

A Scottish blending company that rose to prominence during the Prohibition years in the US by helping mafia boss Frank Costello smuggle its blends into the country. Among these were names such as House of Lords and King's Ransom. The company also owned the Edradour distillery. This 12-year-old House of Lords blended scotch whisky was produced by William Whiteley & Company.

Dusty smoke and old paper, sweet red fruits (cherry, raspberry, stewed plum), subtle grain and malt with hints of vanilla and toasted cereal, rich and inviting aromas, full-bodied aroma.
Palate
Dry, smoky richness, sweet fruit core (red berries and dried figs), minimal spice, smooth with hints of caramel and malted barley, elegant, fruity character with soft notes of caramel, malted barley and crunchy red apples.
Finish
Medium length with sweet grain lingering after fruit and smoke fade, clean and nostalgic, elegant with a subtle touch of smoke, light and elegant as it ends, the last hint of smoke slowly fading out.
