Description

The inaugural release from Tasmania's Hunter Island Distillery, Release 1 is a triple distilled Tasmanian pot still whisky crafted by Damian Mackey from a mixed mash bill of malted barley (65%), unmalted barley (30%), and oats (5%). Initially matured in small 30-litre casks, married together and finished in ex-Bourbon casks with an addition of ex-Oloroso sherry cask matured whisky, bottled at 48% ABV in a strictly limited run of 110 bottles presented in a hand-crafted Tasmanian oak box.
