Nose
Hefty aromas of peat smoke, a flinty minerality, sea breeze, and bonfire ash, with a burst of red berry and vanilla. Also notes of over-ripe bananas, old leather, lemon chiffon, and iodine.
Palate
Mouth-filling with clear peat, vinegar, and seagrass. Over all again the bananas and the damp ashes, some iodine and garbage. Creamy salinity, citrus rinds, blood orange, vanilla, toffee, charred oak, toasted malt, and a touch of dark chocolate.
Finish
Wonderfully long and intensely satisfying, lingering with smoky warmth. Maritime elements persist, leaving a pleasant saline tang. Medium-long with spice brushstrokes on caramel, tamarind, dull charcoal.
