A single malt whisky from the Chichibu Distillery in Japan, established in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto. This 'Newborn Double Matured' expression was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2009, making it approximately 1 year old. It was matured in a 1st Bourbon Barrel and then a 2nd New American Oak Hogshead. The whisky is non-peated and non-chill filtered. Chichibu Distillery is known for producing highly sought-after Japanese whiskies.
