Description

Distilled at Inchgower in 2011, matured in an American Oak Hogshead for 12 years before being finished in Oloroso Sherry for 12 months. This was then bottled at cask strength in 2024 by Global Whisky Ltd for the Auld Goonsy range. Only 302 bottles were produced.

Nose
A fruity nose, with lemon curd, marmalade and mango chutney leading the way, before some subtle oak spice comes through. There's a wee sherry influence there, but it's gentle.
Palate
Comes across as woodier on the palate. After a fruits and honey arrival, things turn spicy with lots of oak, some dried fruits, dark chocolate and chilli.
Finish
Drying, charcoal finish with some residual sherry.
