Description

This single grain Scotch whisky from Invergordon joins indie bottler Murray McDavid's Select Grain collection. Distilled in 2009, the whisky matured for 15 years, beginning in bourbon hogsheads and finishing for three years in casks that previously held a heavily peated Islay single malt from Caol Ila, bringing elegant notes of grassy smoke to the vibrant vanilla, oily oak, baked apples, and candied nuts at its core. Invergordon Distillery is the sixth largest producer of grain whisky in Scotland, creating an oily, sweet spirit. This limited release is not chill filtered and has natural color.
