Description

The Isle of Harris The Hearach Croft Strength is a robust, 52% ABV expression of the distillery's flagship single malt Scotch whisky. It is the first ever travel retail exclusive whisky from the Isle of Harris Distillery, launched on July 2, 2025, and initially available in select UK airports. Made using 100% Scottish barley and distilled with soft Outer Hebridean water, this lightly peated whisky is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels, and Oloroso and Fino sherry butts. It is non-chill filtered and free from artificial coloring, reflecting the rugged beauty and character of Harris and paying homage to the island's crofters.

Refreshingly light, green, and smoky with fresh green apple, crisp pear, lime zest, white grape, golden syrup, malty cereals, floral honeysuckle, blanched almond, and slate-like minerality. Soft smoke, caramel, poached fruits, and warming spices.
Palate
Rich and sweet notes of golden syrup and heather honey, plum, damson, ripe cherry, plump and sugary raisin, tart white grape, stewed bramble fruits, and crisp green apple. Elemental but smooth with deeper spice and wood, green and fruit notes. Powerful yet balanced with a combination of spices, wood, and fruity nuances.
Finish
Initially sweet with hints of toffee, toasted marshmallow, and dried coconut, quickly becoming drier and more savoury with gentle peat smoke, minerality, and salinity. Long-lasting with warming spices and a hint of smoke. Elegant long-lasting aftertaste.
