Description

The Hearach First Release is the inaugural single malt whisky from the Isle of Harris Distillery, launched in 2023. It is a lightly peated (12-15 ppm) whisky, non-chill filtered and with no artificial coloring. Matured in a combination of first-fill ex-Bourbon casks (Heaven Hill and Buffalo Trace) and first-fill Oloroso and Fino sherry butts (from José Miguel Martín), the youngest spirit in the blend is 5 years old. It was released in multiple batches, with each batch having subtle variations. The whisky is a reflection of its island home, with a complex and elegant character.
