Description

J.G. Thomson was originally a wine & spirits merchant with its roots dating back to the 1700s and occupied the Vaults in Leith - the now home of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. This unique blend is made from 100% grain, using vintage distilled components from 1972 before being matured in ex-bourbon barrels. Time and craftsmanship have made this whisky completely individual. Bottled at 46%, unchill filtered and with no added colour, nothing but sophistication and experience have gone into offering you this time-piece.

Maltiply Tasting Profile
Nose
Sweet honey, butterscotch, fudge, rum and raisin, sticky toffee pudding, natural wax and dried ginger. Vanilla pod, orange peels, malt loaf, brown sugar, a hint of mahogany. Beeswax, roast nuts.
Palate
Brown sugar, spiced, malted chocolate, bubble gum, rich fruit cake and complex dried fruit mix. Hazelnut spread and brioche, buttery shortbread, bubble gum sweetness, and a dusting of cinnamon. Flapjacks, maple syrup and baked apple.
Finish
Warm and persistent. Fudge, tropical fruit, and gingerbread.
