Jack Daniel's Silver Select Single Barrel is a sour mash Tennessee whiskey, bottled at a higher strength of 50% ABV (100 proof). It is considered by many to be a premium expression from Jack Daniel's, offering a richer and more intense flavor profile compared to standard offerings. Each bottle is drawn from a single barrel, ensuring a unique tasting experience, with barrels aged in the highest reaches of the barrelhouses for deeper color and character. It was originally released in 1997 as a Travel Retail exclusive and was discontinued in 2015, later rebranded as Single Barrel 100 Proof in 2016.

Rich aromas of vanilla, caramel, and honey, complemented by hints of raisins, anise, clove, and subtle spices. Some notes of milk chocolate, cooked bananas, pine, maple, and dark cherries.
Palate
Rich/sweet fruit (raisins, figs), vanilla, caramel, and a touch of spice. Thick palate with sweetness, sugar, salt, wood, black cherries, cayenne, rye, walnuts, and ginger. Smooth and creamy.
Finish
Short to moderate in length, long and delicate, with lingering spices, sugar, fruits, and vanilla tannin-heavy wood-smoke character.
